LowCountry Golf Carts (is now Charleston Custom Carts MP)

LowCountry Golf Carts is located by the corner of Highway 17 and 41 behind an automotive repair shop. They offer sales, service and repair and have been in business at this location since 2016.

UPDATE 12/11/2019: Charleston Custom Carts has purchased Low Country Golf Carts and remodeled the whole place. The showroom is amazing and you can eat off the floor in the service center. The sell and service Yamaha, Club Car, Epic Carts and have a ton of new custom carts in stock.

LowCountry Golf Carts is an authorized dealer for Yamaha golf carts as well as Bintelli LSV’s and also Trojan batteries. They have a small unwelcoming showroom with a few parts on display and a couple golf carts in side with about 10-15 new and used golf carts on display outside. Prices are comparable to other in the area, the pricing on the low speed vehicles seem a bit higher than others but not crazy.

I came in with a charger I purchased online that was unable to charge my golf cart. The owners Alistair and his wife were Great! Alistair explained what brands of chargers would work for my golf cart and offered to check the charger I purchased to see if it is works. The staff was so helpful. Great experience. Matt talked me through the decisions and wasn't afraid to tell me when he thought I should reconsider an option, even when his suggestions lowered the price of the golf cart, he said what he thought would be best. We loved the experience - and the cart. He even delivered it to a weekend rental beach house for us so I could give the gift there, and then picked it up for a reasonable fee and took it to our house. Highly recommend

Can’t say enough about this company!! Matt was super helpful, very responsive, and made the rental process as easy as it gets. Our family stayed in Isle of Palms and only needed to rent a golf cart for 3 days, which most companies will only rent for a week during the summer. Matt was very accommodating and the rental price was affordable...I would recommend this company to anyone. The golf cart made our trip and we will definitely use Coastal Cruising Carts again.

I was eager but hesitant about the whole ‘golf cart buying process’, but once I linked up with salesman, Josh Miles, it was smooth sailing. We spoke at length trying to pin point what my primary purpose for the cart was going to be, and from there he was helpful in offering me an array of color/wheel customizations. For myself, I didn’t want the stock 8” wheel base, nor did I want the, IMO, over the top 14” so we landed on 12”. We also added cup holders to the back seats, as my primary purpose of the cart is leisurely cruising around.Once the finer details were locked in, he assured smooth and prompt delivery of the cart on agreed upon date and, voila. Pro tip: I highly recommend asking for the ‘speed chip’ to be installed upon ordering your cart. Boosts your carts speed up to 19-20 MPH. Night and day difference.Cheers

Great experience! We had an electrical issue that other dealers had a hard time helping us identify. We made 1 phone call to Palmetto and described what happened. They immediately knew what was wrong and how to fix it. The best part is we only needed a single wire, about 12 inches, to fix the problem and the technician didn't even charge us for it. The other dealer we had talked too mentioned that it could be around $100 for the necessary wires. Thank you Palmetto! This simple act of good business has earned all future business from us and we will certainly recommend you to everyone we talk too.

What a great experience, from the moment we drove up. We were greeted warmly and professionally. Steve and Lee taught us so much as this was our first golf cart purchase. We’d been to several other dealerships and it was not a good experience. We ended up buying a wonderful golf cart that I know we will enjoy for years to come.
